Do NOT insert foreign objects into the battery or connectors.
Use only for power assist electric reels.Use only the charger supplied with this battery.
Do NOT use if the battery is damaged in any way.
Do NOT use in temperatures above 50°C (112°F).
Do NOT immerse the battery, leads, or terminals in water.Keep out of reach of children.
Store in a safe place when not in use.
When not in use, store in a fireproof container.
If the battery emits unusual heat, swelling, or odour, discontinue use immediately.
Important Information –
Damaged Batteries & Thermal RunawayLithium batteries can become hazardous if damaged, punctured, crushed, overheated, or improperly charged.
If a lithium battery is severely damaged, it may enter a condition known as thermal runaway.
Thermal runaway is a rapid and uncontrollable increase in internal battery temperature.
When this occurs, the battery may:
Overheat rapidlyEmit smoke or strong odours Swell or deformCatch fireExplode in extreme cases
This occurs because damaged internal cells become unstable and generate heat faster than it can safely dissipate.
Once initiated, the reaction can escalate quickly.
To Reduce Risk:
Do not drop, crush, or puncture the battery
Do not expose to excessive heat or flames
Only use the supplied charger
Do not modify or tamper with the battery
Do not use the battery if it shows swelling, cracking, leaking, or physical damageIf thermal runaway is suspected, move the battery to a clear, non-flammable area away from people and combustible materials and contact emergency services if fire occurs.
General Lithium Battery Information
Lithium batteries contain an automatic protection circuit.
When not used for extended periods, the battery will naturally discharge.
If unused for up to 3 months, recharge before use.
During winter months, lithium batteries may lose up to 20% of capacity — this is considered normal.
Always store the battery in a fireproof protective case .
Dielectric Grease –
Recommended UseDielectric grease should be applied each time the battery is used.
Apply a small amount to the plug connections using a cotton bud.
What Is Dielectric Grease?Dielectric grease is a non-conductive, silicone-based grease used to protect and lubricate electrical connections.
It helps prevent corrosion
Protects against moistureReduces voltage leakageHelps prevent electrical arcing
Extends battery terminal lifeIs ideal for marine environments where saltwater corrosion is common
Typical properties include:
High dielectric strength (approx. 30 kV/mm)Water resistanceHeat resistanceChemical stabilityNon-corrosiveNon-conductiveAlways ensure the grease used is compatible with electrical connectors and materials.
