Use & Best Performance

For optimal cooling performance, ensure the cooler is not warm before use. Avoid leaving it in direct sunlight and allow it to cool before packing.

* Pre-chill by adding a sacrificial bag of ice several hours before use, or place the cooler in a chest or walk-in freezer.
* This removes stored heat from the walls and lid, allowing the cooler to perform at maximum efficiency.
* Drain melted water before final packing.
* Fill the bottom with cubed ice (use as much as possible).
* Pre-chill or freeze food and drinks before placing them inside.
* Pack items tightly and fill all air gaps with ice—air pockets increase ice melt.
* Add ice around the edges and on top, then close the lid promptly.
* Open the lid as little and as briefly as possible.
* Minimising lid openings helps ice last longer and keeps contents cold and safe.


Cleaning & Maintenance

With proper care, your Rondo Ice Cooler Box can last a lifetime.

* Clean the interior before first use with standard dishwashing detergent and rinse well.
* For stubborn odours, use a solution of 1 part bleach to 50 parts water.
* Clean the silicone seal regularly to maintain a tight, effective seal.
* Rinse and wipe down with a non-abrasive cloth.
* Use mild dish detergent for tougher dirt.
* Oil residue can be removed with lanolin-based hand cleaner or baby oil.
* Do not use alcohol-based cleaners, as they dry too quickly and can leave stains.
